The Multi-Site Operations Manager is a hands-on manager responsible for all planning, production, quality and costs at three facilities. The position has direct reports of all three plant managers (Massachusetts – 200,000sf, Ohio – 500,000sf & Canada – 50,000sf), along with taking direct ownership of the machine-filling lines and coordinating the efforts of the company’s safety manager. However, this role will be heavily involved in the day-to-day operations, especially with the management of the 60+ pieces of equipment in Massachusetts that runs on 2 shifts for 50% of the year. This newly created position will report directly to the VP Operations and will be split his/her time between Massachusetts (80%), Ohio (15%) and Canada (5%).

Responsibilities:
• Plan, organize, direct and run optimum daily operations to exceed expectations
• Responsibility for production planning, output, standard costs and quality standards
• Recruit and oversee the management team and supervisors, mechanics, and operators
• Collect, monitor and analyze operational data to trigger corrective actions
• Report, track and achieve standard costs for all production
• Coordinate second shift and flow between the shifts for a smooth transition
• Manage production orders in the seed room and process orders on each machine
• Responsible for organizing and scheduling annual PMs for each machine and supervising process
• Responsible for purchasing and cost control of all repairs, maintenance and prioritization of mechanics
• Recommend process improvements and capital projects to improve efficiency
• Promote a trusting and positive working culture in all plants
• Responsible for all Safety Practices
• Stay up to date with the latest production management best practices and concepts
• Other duties as assigned to support operations
Requirements:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Extremely Organized with strong mechanical skills
• Proven ability to manage production with tight cost control
• Proven strong management skills in an operations or production setting
• 10+ years minimum supervisory experience with preference of internal promotions
• Ability to analyze and adjust to meet production standards in a complicated setting
• Positive attitude willing to lead by example with commitment to excellence
• Adequate knowledge of business and management principles
• Familiarity with heavy equipment and technical expertise to help manage mechanics
• Computer literacy
• Bi-Lingual is helpful
• Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
